Making A Great App Starts with Great App Design

Making a great app is half the battle.  Great App Design will be key to you succeeding in the App Store.  It seems everyone nowadays has a great idea for an app.  That makes the competition even greater.  So you’ve got an idea for an iPhone app.  The first thing you will need to do is to think about how you will make your idea a reality.  You can have an ugly website and make a lot of money, but you can’t have an ugly iPhone App.  You need to have a cool design.  You need to have well thought out design.

iPhone and Mobile Developers are in high demand today.  Companies are paying big bucks to get their own in-house mobile staff.  The problem is that many developers have learned that they can profit more by developing their own ideas than they would working for someone else.  Not to mention with less stress.  Working on a 9 to 5 is very demanding.  There is Corporate Policy that has to be adhered to and standards or guidelines they have for their own brand.  All of this is very necessary.  Then there is the legal considerations when working for another company.  When you work for yourself, it’s just you.  You can recruit whoever you need on an as-needed basis if you need help in a particular area.

When thinking about what makes a great app, the best thing to do is think about apps you use and why you use them.  What is going to make your app any different than the other hundreds of thousands of apps already created?  Why would people download your app?

Do you have what it takes to make a great app?  There are many programmers with years of experience already making apps.  Can you compete with them? What will ensure you have a sufficient amount of sales once your app is published?  Apps don’t promote themselves.

If you have some business savvy about yourself and a strong desire and willingness to apply yourself, you can create a successful app.  In the beginning, there were kids creating iPhone apps.  Apple finally caught on and changed their agreements to ensure each developer was over the age of 18.  Then they changed some of their standards to improve the quality of apps being published.

These are just some preliminary things to think about as you hash out your app idea.  You can get started learning right away in my ebook: Making an iPhone App – The Easy Way. Or, you can get your feet wet by joining my 5-Part Make A App Mini-course packed with information you can use right away.
